BNC is the same as RCA?
I want to install DVR security system. I'm finding, however, that most cameras have a phono output, but the Most DVR recorders have a BNC input. I have also noticed (purely mechanical) adapter that convert a phono RCA. So my question is, is the same as BNC RCA? Thank you.
They are just different connectors – BNC is more robust and blocks the connection – RCA is cheaper and more consumer products. Radio Shack has adapters BNC to RCA and convert the other way around.
